Moom on Maya

The basics of character rigging was interesting (after I got past giggling every time I moved the hips around). It helped me visualize poses and how the camera would look at the subject to emphasise that pose.

Both these poses mess with foreshortening which is much easier in a 3D workspace.

This one has a red rim light to bring out the anger.

I then added ponytails, a nose and a sword and made Moom pose like Ivy, full of rage and vengeance.
